Cinnamon Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon oil
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup white karo syrup

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar, water and syrup in a sauce pan. Cook until hard crack stage is reached (300F).
  2. Take off heat and add butter, cinnamon oil and food coloring. Beat with an electric mixer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Pour into buttered 9-inch cake pan. Cool and break into small pieces with a knife handle.
