In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening with fork, hands or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Pour milk into flour mixture while stirring with hands or a fork. Mix until the dough a solf, moist a pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
Turn dough out on a plate with flour. Knead 5 times.
Pinch off about ¼ cup amount and roll into the palm of your hands. The more you make these the better they will look. The taste will be the same!!
